golradir: Hi everyone at gog, i wanted to start by saying thank you. I have been trying to play the Tex Murphy series for a long time. I would like to suggest a few games I think would be a great canidate. the first is Noctopilis. I remember playing that game along time ago, but for some reason i could never get the sound to work correctly. Seeing how you guys and gals are geniuses, i think you could fix that. the other game is Santa Fe Mysteries: The Elk Moon Murders . I never did finish this game and though i never tried playing it in about 10 years, it would be nice to have as an easily downloaded application. Lastly, I would really love to see Southpark the game. Like Noctropolis, I could not get this to run on newer systems. Keep up the great work and hope to see these games in the near future.
thanks
PS. to the community, i realize there is a wish list and these games are on there, but since not everyone takes the wish seriously, i decided to post it in the forums.

Sielle: So let me see if I understand this correctly? You knew about the wish list, but felt that the games you suggested were "too important" to simply be put there? That for some reason you felt you should waste everyone's time with a thread that we now have to respond to and point out how much of a stupid idiot you are?
Really? It's one thing to see these posts and have people not know about the wishlist, but it's another to have someone do the same thing and even in their post acknowledge that they knew about it but felt they shouldn't have to use it.
Seriously shut up and get out, or realize that you aren't special, you should try to play by the rules, and you started out REALLY badly here. =p

woah
Though i do know how you feel, imagine the gall of starting a thread about some old games... why would we want that around here...

Gee, what a stupid answer! What an unnecessary harsh answer to something finally not so important!
What really makes me laugh is the comments along the line of "you waste everyone's time with your thread". Sorry but since when is it MANDATORY to read an answer every single thread on a forum? Have i missed it when i read the forum's rules?
Your comment is simply put stupid. You don't like this thread? Very well, that's your right! But if you didn't know, let me tell you that, on top of your web browser, there is a "go back" button. You don't like the thread? Okay, press "go back" and voilà! you wasted only a couple of seconds of your so precious internet life!
But no, you had to answer the thread, in your "i'm-the-sheriff" way? You're no internet white knight, you know? Let the moderators do their job, they do it fairly well without you, actually.
So, in your own words "seriously shut up and get out, or realize that you aren't special" and certainly not Mr policeman down here!

Well someone certainly didn't wake up feeling like a million bucks today.
Seriously though, I know what you're saying, I just think you should calm down.

if I did, do you think it'd still be there?

I <3 you.
I can't say I have ever felt the need to savagely attack a new member over something so utterly trivial, so I don't understand why, inevitably, someone else always does.

Especially when this a forum with that handy rep function. You don't like what someone says, don't waste your time on a pointless rant that the rest of us are just going slam you for, just hit that minus button. I'm sure that's what a few of us have already done, both to the OP and the unwarranted response.

I'd rather the minus button was reserved for needlessly abusive comments (like the one in question), spam and other completely unwelcome posts. Using it because you agree/don't agree with someone will just see this place degenerate into Gamespot. I'm sure that's something none of us want to see happen.
I'd prefer that different opinions be accepted and discussed, rather than people feel they need to act like forum yes-men.
Ideally, the -/+ system should be done away with and be replaced by forum moderation, which would be much more effective.
This wasn't a new user just asking a question about games he'd like to have (not knowing about the wish list), or just letting us know of some games they liked that we should look for ourselves. This was someone that knew better yet still did it. I even double checked where they said they were from to make sure that it wasn't a language barrier with them residing in a country where English wouldn't be their primary language.
It's almost as bad as the people that sit there whining about how GOG should "officially" support Linux and Macs. Or should everyone make their own post stating the games they want, and why the GOG staff should run out and get them right away? If that's how people want things done I could accommodate that. I have a list of games I'd love for GOG to release (even though I know why they can't release most of them).
Also if they can't take brutal honesty from someone online what hope is there for them in the real world? Too many things are sugar coated. If nothing else at least the OP knows how I feel. ^_^

It wasn't about the post. Never is.
