awalterj: But if you want to complain to someone, why not address the publishers directly? Tell them that you won't buy their games because of regional pricing, regardless of what stores they're available at. I see no reason to complain to GOG about this.
Because the publishers made it abundantly clear, years ago, that they don't give an airborne copulation at a ventrally rotating toroid, because the majority of gamers aren't interested in principle (or even self-interest) and will gladly keep handing over wads of cash to people screwing them (remember that MW2 screenshot that made the rounds back when?). That's a big part of what made GOG so unique, is the fact that they WERE a stand-up company that actually went out of its way to NOT screw over their customer base (I was a "customer" since 2010, I became a "fan" after the way they owned up to the Free Torchlight goof-up).
Personally I think (and I don't think I'm alone in this) that it's worth complaining to GOG because I feel that it's less important for them to expand their catalog than it is for them to keep being GOG.
For these 3 games, its probably too late (the contracts are already in place, I'm sure). But if you give the publishers an inch, letting them demand regional pricing, then they'll keep taking miles, until even old DOS games from 1988 are required to have some custom DOSBOX DRM wrapper, because that's how game publishers work.
