tinyE: Seriously, can we stop mentioning me, I'm not going anywhere and that was over a year ago. :P I'm flattered but I'd rather we try to convince Tarnicus to at least not be a stranger to the forum, it needs him just as it needs all of us.

TinyE trying to expose us to his ass(es) is nothing new. :p

So sad that it should come to this.

Well, I still haven't know you for very long, but it was peeps like you in the spring Insomnia tracker that made me notice what an awesome community this is. I rarely participate in forums, but the generosity here inspired me to contribute, and you were like the defender of the site, making sure leechers didn't take advantage of the genuine posters here. Even if everybody didn't appreciate your efforts(you and your questionable methods :p), I thought it was great.

And maybe your efforts were a little excessive and could be put to better use elsewhere, but I would still like to see you hanging around here, even if you're not wearing riding chaps and playing sheriff. ;)

Just remember...

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best

And always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the light side of life...

:-D

Momo1991: ~sigh~

Well I know you've undergone a lot of changes since I met you here on GOG and I'm sure you'll go through even more ;-p But I did want to say this, since we never really finished the conversation - my take on it is that yes, some people are going to fool you but if you don't take the chance and be open to all that cross your path, you miss out some pretty amazing people. I guess what I'm saying is "youse pays your money, youse takes your chances". Sometimes that means losing and sometimes that means winning. For me, having lost plenty, I might be a bit inured to loss but I'm never tired of meeting another kindred soul and the joy that brings...

Anyway, I hope you check back in - here and the other places ;-) Huge hugs to the Munki-girl too!
Listen to this guy and don't let yourself fall into a pitfall of cynicism and spite. Because once you start falling, you never really stop.

Then you become Max Payne.
And nobody wants that :)

OR you become Darth Vader.

That....is actually a much better example.
I'm sorry to see that somewhere you once loved to be, is now a place you want to walk away from. You made me (and I'm sure countless other new posters) feel so welcome during this Insmonia sale, I instantly felt like one of the 'gang' and not the annoying new kid that keeps butting in! For that I sincerely thank you. As Lynette has already said, I think half my posts were in response to you too.

Having got to know you a bit, I can understand where you are coming from, there are times when you just have to say enough is enough and take a step back. Trying to focus on the good things and not on the bad, can be hard at times especially when it feels like the bad is staring you in the face.

I wish you and yours well and good luck in whatever you focus your energy into next and hope that maybe our paths will cross again someplace :)

Keep smiling and laughing, it's about the best damn cure for everything!

Thank you all for the overwhelming response, both in this thread and via PM. I awoke to 33 new notifications(there's that number again!). I've only had a chance to read the PMs and not respond and haven't even had the chance to read past the first page of this thread as I've got to head out.

What, can i say...I understand why you would like to leave the forums and i've seen other good people leaving. People that made this community great are now gone. Before becoming more active on the forums, i lurked. It's what i do when i check a forum. But the General Forums are in a dire need of a new structure. A subforum for GA, one for media discussions (movies, music, anime, comics, etc) and so on. Not necessary in that order. And as for rep: i'd only ask for transparency - to see who downreped or upreped a person. That way, the system won't be easily abused. I'd really wish to have a place where i should not search hard for a topic that i'd like to discuss. Something with more structure and less drama.

I'll add my best wishes for you and my hope that you will be back if things are getting better.
I'd very much appreciate a copy of:

Aarklash: Legacy
(or)
Eador: Genesis

So long and good luck in all your future endeavors.

I'll say this publicly as well as in your PM, you taking off here because of the BS that you tried fighting is like letting the terrorists win!

I wish you all the luck and happiness you can find, but this place is certainly gonna miss you, I sure am gonna miss chatting with you and seeing you around here.

It's too bad that the cancer is spreading around here.

I'm not in, because I already have all of those games, but your generosity is again noted and appreciated. You've always been a generous person here, and that doesn't have anything to do with the games you gave away, but with happiness you've shared by sharing yourself, your personality, your sense of humor, and your openness. That is what I'm gonna miss. You were also very generous with your time, spending hours calling people on their bullshit, not out of a spirit of meanness or condescension, but out of a true, honest, and noble desire to both help those people become better people, because you've been there yourself, and also to protect those around you that you cared about and couldn't sit around watching them get scammed and taken advantage of. That shows a much deeper caring than many many many others around here who just sit by and watch it happen without saying a word.

I've told you this before, but I want you to know I really mean it, thanks for what you've done for this community, and I hope that it is just a temporary hiatus so you can get some much needed relaxation and take care your personal life. I'm sure I speak for most people here when I say you'll always be welcome back.
Ah the ninja thread, OP confuse me at first.
Well so long! Not in on this one.
Things change, people change, hairstyles change, interest rates fluctuate.

Thanks for being here, and thank you for all the little game fishies that you're spreading around. I wish you a happy life.

I'm tempted to add another game to my backlog, but as usual I don't think it's a good enough reason to take it from others who might actually play it.
