Perhaps it's your attitude?

Kicking pregnant women in the twat MIGHT be considered a "hostile work environment" issue.

... Just sayin!

Sachys: yes.
A link to the relevant law would be nice as that really doesn't sound right.

I think this covers it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unfair_dismissal_in_the_United_Kingdom

It supports a loose interpretation of what you've stated, but certainly not a strict one.
Some reasons are an unfair basis for giving someone the chop, even new employees.
Your employers hate bethesda.
Sorry to hear of this. I did find a page of groaners today. Maybe that'll help
I hope you're wrong, and your boss just had a hiccup of douchiness and will be cool now. At any rate, keep it cool with him, but continue looking for other work. Best of luck, dude.

According to that the length of time during which dismissal isn't an issue has been extended from 6 months to 2 years: Otherwise, an employee must have worked for two 2 years.

And looking at the linked to government site from that article they reference an original period of 1 year changed to 2 years.

The other reasons listed have always been covered albeit by different laws.
That just means more time to play all of the games you never had time for before! :>

bansama: Unless it's changed over the years, I seem to remember that there is no security for the first 6 months. During that time an employer can fire you for any reason. Perhaps it's changed over the last decade.
avatar
Sachys: that hasnt been legal for more than a decade
depends on the country and line of work but in germany for example thats pretty legal during the first 3 to 6 months of a new employment

Funny you say that. I haven't finished so many games in such a short period in a long time.

Maybe you will get a new job as a tester and you will get paid to play games.
One can dream, right?

i think i wouldn't even want a job like that.
Playing buggy games all day writing reports about everything found seems to me like taking the fun and relaxing out of gaming.
Even more: What would i do after another "stressful" day of work? Play more games would than equote to Work some more, that can't be good ;)

Could you imagine doing that for Obsidian? Testing and reporting so many bugs just find they get left in the game anyway! :P
