Krypsyn: Meh, I am underwhelmed. Sure, I am glad he is out of the picture, but it just seems about 8 years too late. He was at best a figurehead for Al Qaeda; I don't think he has been in charge of planning anything for the last half dozen years. I suppose the best part is that he was killed in Pakistan, proving that they HAVE been protecting him (whether on purpose or not) by impeding our patrols in their country for so long.
The word now is that it was a ground operation with gun fire. There were bombs involved, but apparently that isn't what did him in. The squad that nailed him all deserve medals, imho....
It is a symoblic event, nothing more. Wasnt it a predator drone that got him?
