It was explained that 'they' do not want some sort of physical memorial around which the zealots can rally.

Personally, I'd love to see a physical memorial to ObL. In New York. At the WTC site. In the shape of a urinal. Sell tickets to that bathro, err, memorial and we could erase the national debt in about 3 years.

I dont. They're just stubborn idiots who refuse to listen and stick their heads in the sand, while drinking their current government's official kool-aid's flavour of the month. It's nothing really new. WWI , WWII, Vietnam, you name it. In every case, the USA is pulled into foreign wars with lies and manipulation. But hey, at least it's good for the industry. And for those awesome WWII shooters!

Depends which war, we did for Vietnam (I know not declared), and for Iraq (2nd one), and don't forget about WWI. However we didn't for WWII, Iraq (1st one) or Afghanistan.

Really, it's a mixed bag as far as that goes.

The dumping on the body seemed to me more like getting rid of evidence more than not providing a memorial ground to bin laden. IF anything, this is going to have the opposite effect of what they wanted. They made him a martyr. Good work, marines, this one's on us!

I have to agree with the people who've spoken out against people celebrating the death of a human being. This is just as bad as the Muslims who celebrated 9/11.

It's also strange how many people believe this is the end of the war; what direction are Essam El-Iryan, Abd Elmounim Abou El-Futuh, and Mohammed Mursi going to take Islam in?

Oh, and on a slightly controversial note, the US claim to be fighting a war on terrorism, yet they continue to fund people like Mubarak, Ben Ali, Abdallah Al-Saleh, and even Gaddafi?

why do they want you harm?ha?did all these countries wake up one morning and thought,well..we could just attack usa today,couldnt we?its your dirty interests from ww2 on.i know you feel for your country but you are wrong on this one.im war child myself.i was 7 when war in yugoslavia began..i have dead neighbours too..some with ptsp and all other shit.people killing themselves 20 years after,so dont go there.
