Trilarion: Yes, but then people tend to make propaganda out of everything. Whatever you do, there is always some weird way how your doing can be clearly seen as devils work.
Still no good reason to provide them with excellent material. How can we pretend to promote constitutional democracy, separation of powers, humanism and human rights if we don't really believe in them ourselves and in the end it boils down to an eye for an eye? How is that any different from the attitudes of the people we fight against?
I'm not saying that is what the operation was all about but the way it is celebrated by some makes it seem like that and in my opinion that's really unworthy of a civilized society. This isn't so much about the monster Bin Laden but about the way we see and present ourselves. If it's true he used a woman as shield, how come noone is regretting her death and instead everyone is rejoicing because innocent lives were avenged? For all we know she might have been an innocent civilian, too, someone's mother, daughter or sister. To celebrate death while others are mourning, I find that very irreverent and disturbing, to say the least. And I don't believe it will solve anything.
