Could be worse, we have trains that have stopped running because "its the wrong type of snow"

No! I hate snow now.

Loved it when I was younger, but when it reached the point where I had to shovel sidewalks and drive to work through it, the love affair ended.

Sure, if I was on vacation and could just enjoy myself, I wouldn't mind it. But these days it's like, "Oh, snow!" And then a few minutes later, "Oh, shit, snow!"

When I was younger, it seemed once it snowed, that was it, you wouldn't see grass again until Spring. Now it seems like we get a snowstorm, and then it all goes away. Haven't had any serious snow in a month, though it's pretty friggin' cold outside.

Not much snow this year.

I grew up in the midwest US, with snowy winters and humid summers. I kind of miss those different seasons now.

When you're a kid, snow means a day off from school and fun playing with friends outside.

When you're an adult, snow means dangerous roads and other mundane complications.

LOL true in a general sense, but certainly icy roads can be a danger for skilled, cautious drivers. Once I was with my friend who was driving. He was going slowly and patiently on the icy roads. Then at one moment, we lost control completely (didn't make at turn, accelerate, brake, or anything) and ended up in a ditch.

And it's snowing again.

Early this morning it was heavily raining and now a heavy, thick snow is falling. Despite the dampness from rain, everything's already white after maybe an hour of snow, accompanied by occasional thunder and lightning. I have never seen and heard the three together before.

I miss the snow.

Here in TN when I was a kid (late 80's/early 90's) we got a good couple of snowfalls every year it seemed, enough to get out for snow days, go sledding down hills in, etc. Around 1993 we had a huge blizzard, with like 3 feet of snow, as a kid I found it awesome, building tunnels int he snow, etc.

Ever since around 2000-present we hardly ever get anymore snow. It might come a slight snow fall, which will be gone by the evening when the sun comes out and melts it all away. We'd be lucky to get an Inch or two, let alone anything you could go sledding in.
