I've been trying to re-download all of my games to my new PC and all was well with the first dozen or so files until I got to Wing Commander 3 which downloaded very slow. Now no matter what game I try to download it takes over an hour to download and I know it's not my internet service. Is it because everyone is trying to get in on the Square-Enix sale at the last minute or have I reached some sort of limit on how much I can download from GOG?

You sure your ISP doesn't throttle your speeds after a certain amount of data? I know Shaw cable up here gives you speed boost for the first few minutes on some internet service tiers, then throttles it down after a certain time limit.

No, I don't have any monthly or daily limits, never had any before at least.
I've gotten hammered on a Firefall patch all night, but Netflix is streaming at full quality. I think something is going on somewhere, probably some DDOS or something. The internet is resilient, but when it's weathering an issue and being resilient and all that, it can be pretty damned slow, specifically in the most affected regions:)
I've been getting slow GOG downloads for the last few weeks as well. I'm downloading a game right now at 135 KB/s max. While that download is going, I can open a simultaneous Steam download that runs at 2 MB/s.

So: It's not my connection.
