Sadly, but not surprisingly, the KS failed. Fortunately, the team has a contingency plan already. You can still pre-order their game over here:

The different pre-order bundles are based on the Kickstarter tiers too, so you can still get whatever tier you previously backed. It's a really good, solid plan IMO.

By that logic, would a hijacker would be someone who masturbates while giving out greetings or when he's on LSD?

And people say "teh interwebs" has no class. j/k, you made me chuckle. Who doesn't like a good pudwhacking joke?

Anyway, sorry to say this game just doesn't look like its me. Not saying it doesn't look amazing, just that I've never been a "space combat" kind of gamer. I do seem to remember enjoying Space Quest 5 for being captain of my own ship & being given missions. Anyone know any good space-faring games where the emphasis is less on combat & more on adventurous missions?

Don't judge it until you've tried it. ;)

Which one? I've tried the first, and trafficking drugs is punishable by death here.

That wouldn't stop a man like you, now, would it?

I'd gift you a game for that compliment, but I'm broke, so you'll have to settle for some manly hugs.

OOOO

Skyjacker is back at it, this time they're trying smaller, staggered Kickstarter campaigns where they focus on one particular feature of the game, and funds the implementation of that feature as a stand alone app (whose development time also contributes to the main game). The current campaign is called Skyjacker Starship Constructor, whose short term goal is an app showcasing the way the starships are built (and can be destroyed) as smaller components. The app itself isn't all that exciting, but the long term goal of the campaign is that they can create more assets for the game, and stretch goals - they managed to reach them - will benefit the development of the main game. At the higher reward tiers the full Skyjacker game is again included (pledges below $25 will only give the app).
They have 27 hours left of the current campaign: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/digitilus/skyjacker-starship-constructor
Im wondering why they just dont launch another Kickstarter for it?
