If it helps, it was because I'm on my phone and looked down at just the right way at the smaller-than-normal avatar. The "face" is shadowed at the top, at a bit of an angle, and is in three-quarter view. The pupil is the visible eye and the bright spot is the nose. It sort of looks like someone in face paint wearing a hood and glaring at you threateningly. Definitely creepy.
Looking at it again, it's almost as though looking at someone who's peering around a corner wearing a bright blue gas mask.
Hopefully I will unsee the horror upon viewing it full-size again. Yes! A second one can see it. That makes three of us now. :-)

Don't really understand why you're so happy with the trading cards, I thought you don't use Steam.
