Thespian*: kudos on your efforts to bring this fine title to GOG, mate! :)

"KANE LIIIIIIVES!"....I...I mean "I Live!". Thank you for not only helping out in getting the game onto the service, but also hosting this generous giveaway to boot! A very well deserved +1! =)

As for what game I would love to see updated....that's actually a rather tough question because a lot of the games that deserve an update already did get an update, because I'm rather forgiving of older graphics (or the game holds up just fine) and because some of the examples I can think of are unlikely to appear on PC/Mac/Linux. As a result, I have a hard time thinking of any game that I could honestly say is incredibly held back by its old age (at least one that I've actually played; I've never played the original System Shock, but it apparently hasn't aged well at all).

If I really had to pick an example, I suppose it would be WarCraft: Orcs and Humans. I would love to play that game, but thanks to advances in RTS controls and interfaces, the original has aged terribly and is virtually unplayable nowadays (which is especially funny considering its sequel came out barely a year later and has held up much better). It would be quite nice if it got an updated version with easy mouse controls and an updated interface.
Thanks very much, I Live!

Two I would really love to see an update for modern pc's would be Sim Copter and Streets of SimCity.
Had great times with these two when I was young, and would like to get to play them again, at normal speed :) . Also, loved being able to make a city in SC2K, and then being able to to fly/drive around them.

thanks IAmSinistar!
+1
I live!

I'm not really old enough to be familiar with most old games, other than those I've heard about on GOG, so I don't really know what to say for the optional part.
Not in but thanks :)
I Live!

Thanks IAmSinistar! +1

I'd like to see remake of Street Rod.
Not in +1 for the giveaway though :)
I Live!

Thanks for the giveaway and for helping to bring the game to GOG
Thanks for bringing these home to roost, Sinistar! You done good ;)

I really hope they go to someone who has fond memories of the game, so naturally this counts me out. Run coward!
I Live!

Giving away no less than seven copies of the game is very generous.

Since you are already in contact with Bunten's children, could you inquire the following?

*) Does the MULE remake also come to PC? If so, any plans for a GOG release?

*) What about disk images for the C64 original? Any chance to add them as unsupported extras?

*) Did Seven Cities of Gold's successor Heart of Africa ever have a PC release? If so, what about a GOG release for that? If not, what about the C64 image of Heart of Africa as extra to Seven Cities?

There is no plan for it as of yet, but since a lot of development environments allow for easy release on both PC and Android, it might possible. The development is in the hands of Comma8, and the official site is here. They would be the ones to let know that you'd like to see a PC release.

Not sure about that. I would imagine they have then, but I don't know how GOG would advertise such an inclusion, since they are worthless to most people without and emulator and I don't know that GOG can advocate any emulators apart from the ones they officially use. A guess a bluetext would have to say if this is a practical bonus item.

From what I can tell, Heart of Africa was only ever a C64 release. So my answer to that would be the same as for the 7SoG C64 images.

By the way, feel free to visit the Ozark Softscape official site. They have some great info on their games and history, and just today they updated their pages to link to this GOG release.

Wow an old game I'd love to see in an updated version? Where to begin? I can't decide on just one game so I'll opt out of this one but there are tonnes of games I'd like to see updated or remade, one of my favorites has been promised a remake on PS4 and PS Vita, I'm referring to Grim Fandango of course. Tim Schafer did mention it might come to more systems.

Because I want to spread the love around and not just be in for the same person(s) all the time, I'm in for:

JinseiNGC224: Never played it before, and really want to!
'cause he really wants to play it! Yay~! :D

So, a game I would LOVE to see a re-make of is the C64 Windham Classics Adventure game Alice in Wonderland

I absolutely LOVED that game (along with Below the Root, also by Windham Classics) and played it many times. Heck, even with the AWFUL graphics, I'd happily play them again without an update!
I Live! for rong44

I really want to see a updated Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines.
