EDIT: Giveaway ended, with the game going to JohnWalrus courtesy a support vote by BlueKronos. Thanks to everyone who entered, and if you haven't tried Evolva, I hope you will!

----------------------------------------

I'd like to give away one of the lesser known titles from the current Entertaining Interplay promotion - Evolva. I bought this game back when it first came out and enjoyed the genetic engineering aspect of it, as well as the look and flow of the alien world. So here's your chance to share in that experience. Just follow these rules:

1) Declare you are entering with I Live!
2) Post another game that features evolution as a game element

You may enter for another member if you like. Concept for item #2 above inspired by Licurg's Sacrifice giveaway.

Giveaway will run until entries taper off, so get in early for a chance.

Thanks Sinistar, you got me hooked on Evolva. I'm in, err, I Live!

As for evolution, Creatures comes to mind.

Level up is considered as evolution? If so...

Hmm, I think I'd prefer the more biological definition. Or technological, if you think of games where you evolve robots and such.
Not in but regarding Evolva, I picked it up on a whim shortly after joining up here and it really is a gem. As unorthodox as it is, it's easy to control with next to no learning curve, simple control scheme, and a crisp flowing style. Big +1 for the giveaway.

yeah... I thought so....

I have some in mind, but I'm not telling you, as I'll not participate and could steal someone else's idea. ;p

but thanks!

Cheers mate, glad to hear more praise of the game!

You can always throw your support in for someone later as well, if you like. :)
I Live!

E.V.O.: Search for Eden is a pretty cool SNES action RPG that features evolution as a leveling system. Kinda pioneer for Spore, eh?

Thanks for the giveaway, Sinistar, and count me in! :D

Sure, but first we need some more interest. :)
Count me in and +1 for you.

I Live!

The only game that comes to mind is Spores

True enow. That's why I'm boosting this game, I feel it deserves more interest and exposure.
I just wanted to say I liked your username, and that it reminds me that GOG desperately needs to get the unexpectedly-magnificent "Sinistar Unleashed" in their catalogue.

Absolutely the best 3D interpretation of a classic 2D arcade game ever.

Cheers Shadowcat. Sinistar Unleashed is another of those obscure games that I still have the CD for. Didn't seem to sell well or hang around for long, so probably the only way most folks will experience it now is via a GOG re-release. There is a request thread for it (actually two, but this one has more votes).
Ill try this one

I LIVE

Genesis Rising if memory serves was a space rts kinda thing that you absorbed the abilities of opponents and genetically engineered you ships throughout the game.

Many years since I played it so my memory might be a bit hazzy
Hey! No one will say Pokemon? ;p

Well, I will then. I Live! in support of this guy up above.

Thanks Sinistar!
