i got to Havens gate, the cutscene kicks in but it just turns black with Access violation message.
also, the game doesn't like stairs, it goes all weird like i get stuck and just are floating.....

is this being worked on, or am i doomed to never get this game working :(

i have the game on disc but no windows xp/98 - Virtual pc works, but the mouse sadly doesn't as the virtual pc is not designed that way :/

System info
Core i7 - 2600k
GTX 460 nvidia
6GB ddr3 1333
SATA 7200 250gb

looking forward to hearing of any fixes to this, or any info if this is being fixed by gog.

Do you have all your graphic card drivers up to date? Most of the times, that usually solves the issues with most games. I don't have Silver, so can't say specifically.

yep, tried with that and windows 98/xp compatibility option, doesn't seem to work, its weird :/

Hmm... Maybe a program you're running in the background is interfering with the game? The web browser, or maybe something else?

Stairs - FIXED

just been to the Silver forums, ty for mentioning there is a silver forums by the way

Vertical Sync needs to be set to Application Controlled - im hoping this also fixes the haven bug, not got back to it yet :X lol

Mark a post as solved then so other people with the issue can read it and rejoice....since you solved it yourself I guess you could mark post 9 as the solve since it quotes your solve post. :\

thats only part 1 as solved, i still don't know if the problem is fixed for the blackscreen issue. - when i do find out i'll mark my latest post as solved stating in the post how it was fixed.

I don't think you can mark your own posts as solves. Just a head's up.

In the future, please do post your game-specific posts to the relevant subforum. Further, since you've got the disc version (at least, I believe that's what your post is saying), it may be you can't fix the black screen issue. I don't believe it occurs in the version we sell, although of course everyone's hardware and software will run things a little bit differently.

If possible (I don't know exactly how), you guys may want to go about "promoting" the game-specific forums in a stronger manner. It's not that hard to find them (there's a button right under Community), but for some reason sometimes people apparently don't realize they're available. (Maybe it really isn't that bad, though...)
