Farscape
Boss (starz)

The best political drama you will ever see, period. I'm not saying the most realistic one, but definitely the best. Enjoy the two seasons of greatness. Definitely better than overrated House of Cards.

It also has Kelsey Grammer

blotunga: Babylon 5
That is the best TV show I've watched. Brilliant writing and acting but the best part is that it had four, well five seasons to tell the story mostly the way the writer wanted it and it was all thought out before filming started.
Having the story already written and giving the writer much freedom to tell his/her story is very important. That's why I hate this season by season go ahead which practically kills many good stories and shows.

Space: Above and Beyond.
Good characters, actors and building episodes on real war stories was brilliant. There's no better fiction than reality. ;)
Freaks and Geeks.

An American high school show which focused on the fringe elements instead of the popular kids. It was actually a pretty accurate picture of my experience minus twenty-odd years (It was set in 1980). Plus it's entertaining to see some of the Apatow regulars when they were younger, Shia Lebeouf even makes an appearance when he was like 14. Oh, and the soundtrack was simply awesome, there was a whole episode with nothing but The Who playing in the background in a forty-minute show no less. Only had one season, though. :(

Isn't that a porno show? :/

Anyway, I'll say Brickleberry, even though I think it's been cancelled.

SpooferJahk: Moral Orel on Adult Swim.

At first, it was a pretty stupid show that was like Davey and Goliath meets South Park but as the show progressed, it became a pretty serious and depressing show that ended on a very good note. A lot of people badmouthed it for being too dark and unfunny, but that is what made Moral Orel brilliant. It dared to break away from the college stoner crowd style of humor that most Adult Swim shows seem to follow, and is probably one of the only memorable shows on that block that is not something from another channel.
I remember watching a bunch of episodes including the finale, I sort of got what the show is, but my goodness how I hate Orel's Father Clay Puppington. He is Evil, he is just evil. Nuff said. The Reverend is also an unforgivable asshole either.

XD Oh really! I think you might find an argument if you were to insist that simulating intercourse on camera and having intercourse on camera were more or less the same thing. Of course either way that's an argument I'd love to listen to. Good times! :D
well, if we can go for kids shows - ReBoot never got the attention it deserved.

Apart from that, it's pretty much the standard list, others have said.

OH: And modern one - Mortal Kombat Legacy - that is just awesome. It's unfortunately tied to the crap films, but it's really good production, and really raw fight scenes.

Yeah. I really would like to know what the writers had in mind for the second season.
