tfishell: http://www.gog.com/gamecard/secret_agent and http://www.gog.com/gamecard/realms_of_chaos say that Apogee is the developer and 3D Realms is publisher.
It is because while 3D Realms is the business name they use in their day to day business they are still legally the same Apogee Software, Ltd that developed those games. However back in 2007(annnounced in 2008) 3D Realms licensed the Apogee name, logo and a selection of IPs to a new company, Apogee Entertainment LLC which is doing business as Apogee Software LLC. The initial round of Apogee/3DR games on GOG were put up by that new company, the LLC(under license from 3D Realms). However the new round of Apogee/3DR games including Realms of Chaos and Secret Agent were published on GOG by 3D Realms themselves, this was the result of a new seperate deal between GOG and 3D Realms that even got a fancy announcement press release.
It is the new Apogee which is publishing the Rise of The Triad remake(developed by Interceptor Entertainment). They actually purchased rather than just licensed the ROTT IP from 3D Realms.
Devolver Digital is publishing the new Shadow Warrior by Flying Wild Hog under license from 3D Realms. Initially Shadow Warrior on GOG listed 3D Realms as publisher but that was hastily changed to Devolver Digital, soon after.
So there you have it, 3 companies have put Apogee/3DR titles on GOG(3D Realms themselves(Apogee Software, Ltd Doing Business As 3D Realms Entertainment), the new Apogee(Apogee Entertainment LLC Doing Business As Apogee Software LLC) and Devolver Digital.

It would be sensational if it was e.g. System Shock. ;)
But knowing GOG's penchant for hype, I'd say it's probably something a lot less "spectacular".

jamyskis: Well, if there's one thing that GOG is generally guilty of, it's that they often sensationalise usually quite trivial developments.

So tomorrow will be the big day then. I know some of the blues are on E3 and while the Dungeon Keepers are far. far away the minions are enjoying their chicken right know, but it would be really nice (or maybe better really evil) if someone could post when it will start tomorrow.

As there was no Enigmatic hint in the last video I take it the free release will just be one of the games currently in the catalog going free. The free part could then be the sensational bit but they mention a sensational NoDRM release. So their post would indicate that even the presence of the game without DRM on GOG would be sensational.
But I bet this will be a dissappointment just like their announcement of the conference where they announced Mac support said there would be news for Mac gamers and ALSO news of an additional OS(implying another new OS in addition to Mac OSX) but they didn't announce Linux support(or even Windows 8 support).

Shadow Warrior was released as free to play on steam, so this part of drm-free can also be a sideswipe against steam here. I know that the Shadow Warrior files on steam don't have any drm in it and you easily can backup them. I really don't want to start another discussion about steam here, it's just a possible interpretation.

This is what I was talking about:
Notice how it mentions "Oses" in plural? Notice this bit: "Not only console and PC users should tune in for the conference. Mac Computer users should be prepared for a bunch of thrilling announcements including more information about the upcoming release of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for OS X.
Speaking of new operating systems, GOG.com will also be announcing that it is bringing the best PC games from throughout history to a new operating system."? Notice how they first mention OS X and then mention how they will ALSO be bringing the best PC games trhoughout history to a new OS? Which would obviously be additional news, unrelated to this: "Mac Computer users should be prepared for a bunch of thrilling announcements".
So yeah hype followed by a dissappointment is one of the only downsides of GOG.
Come watch CD Projekt RED and GOG.com Special Event

That’s not all of the news that GOG.com has planned for the Special Event, however: they will also be showcasing several new releases as well as giving gamers a unique chance to get some of the greatest classic games ever made for a literally unbeatable price.

Kristian: they mention a sensational NoDRM release. So their post would indicate that even the presence of the game without DRM on GOG would be sensational.
JMich: You're reading too much in this post. The "sensational NoDRM" part is standard GOG message, only this time they are using an E3 hashtag. I think the intent of the statement was "sensational, NoDRM game". The comma being the important piece, signifying that sensational is meant to describe the *game* not *NoDRM*.

Fever_Discordia: Yes but as we say, then for Shadow warrior 3d Realms is suddenly the Dev and Developer Digital is the pub so that just makes it more confusing, not less! Also Apogee made the Commander Keen games with the dopefish in which has then gone on to pop up in id and Ion Storm games so those guys must be pretty close too...
