Is this the calm before the storm? Is this how previous summer sales started here? As in the days announcement was delayed and then sometime mid-morning (for me anyhow), the summer sale announcement was made?

I hope so! I've been holding off on playing the Steam version in hopes that GOG would be able to convince Digital Devolver to make it free here. (which imo is only the right thing to do, since DD decided to make it free on Steam)

While I'm doubtful there is anything free left in the EA library that EA itself would be willing to part with, it sure makes one wonder what exactly GOG is preparing for us.
I don't know there plenty of old games in EA's library that I doubt they will be able to sell here such as Escape from hell and Fountain of Dreams, well outside of GOG finally adding lower price points here. I'm talking about Decent to good games mind you but not worth 5.99

Unless I missed something here, Digital Devolver was only handling the Steam release since they were doing the HD remake of SW and what is left of 3d Realms handled the GOG end of things.. Unless DD owns 3d Realms..

Crosmando: Well, they could host DreamWeb, it's ScummVM compatible and already hosted on scumm website as freeware with permission.
Same with Flight of the Amazon Queen - Desura have it (they may have Dreamweb too, not sure)

I think it started on normal promo hour, but the rss feed isn't the best witness to that. Let me check though.

Edit: From a "Battle of the Games" newspost
Each Round of the Battle begins at 1 PM GMT (9 AM EST) and ends after 24 hours
So normal time.
