And people say The Guardian is the worst paper in the UK.
(If you're a Twitter user, you'd probably know about this by now.)
Ahhh, poll crashing. I don't think we have the numbers to do much damage.
Do you just have a poll? Or is there a related article to explain said poll.
Bizarre.
Is this kinda proven to happen? I thought you were meant to get treated equally on the NHS haha. Or is this just in Daily Mail goo gaa land?
Oh well, that's the Daily Mail for ya. Nearly everyone hates it.
The NHS shouldn't let anyone jump the queue, except for emergencies etc of course.

And they should keep you at the back. You know, to retain order.
The Daily Fail is without doubt the most odious and offensive national rag in the UK. It makes the rest of the press look well intentioned and responsible and that is not an easy
thing to do.

It's my opinion that its a newspaper for racists and bigots, made by racists and bigots, and I would happily destroy both their offices and their printing presses.
This looks almost like a hoax website, because it looks even worse than the Mail usually is.
Nothing that the daily mail writes should be regarded as fact, and I would recommend to anyone getting their news from The Guardian, The Times or the BBC (I'll grudgingly accept the Telegraph isn't all bad, but they're a bit right-wing for my liking).
Given the recent trouble with Roma people in Northern Ireland, I despair of this sort of inflammatory nonsense.

+1 Couldn't agree more, the tabloids of this country are generally pretty irresponsible and ethically challenged, but the Daily Mail is by far the worst.

I was very patient when I waited HALF A DAMN WEEK for the operation on my ankle. That week felt like a month.

I work for the NHS (as do a couple of other family members), so I can tell you first hand how stretched resources are, and I don't see that getting any better any time soon.
Our department has to make savings where it can, making the most of the equipment and staff that we have.
I'd also say, waiting 3-4 days (half a week) for an operation must have meant that you were assessed as needing to be seen quickly. It really depends on how urgent the doctor that saw you thought it was, and also the amount of available surgical time.
Obviously this varies slightly depending on your NHS trust.

I understand perfectly why they needed to delay it, I just think the hospital could have been better prepared. The delay was caused by having only one set of equipment for the job.

That would be a classic example of the stretched budget I would guess. We often have problems with equipment usage, and have booking systems in place to maximise their use. Unfortunately for us, buying more isn't always an option when things cost thousands (and sometimes hundreds of thousands) of pounds.
If it's commonly used equipment, I would wonder why they haven't scraped some budget money for it, but I'm not in management so couldn't tell you how that all works.
Agreed on the Daily Fail - I dont know why they they've not just embraced UKIP and the BNP and renamed themselves "The Daily Racist". Anything in that rag is utter rubbish.
Andy_Panthro is right about the NHS too.

Man, you couldn't just go to a private hospital or something?
