To put it simply - hell yes.

You don't have to buy them right now, finish what you've got. Just keep in mind that Baldur's Gate is one of the top dawgs.

Yes, they are classics. Others will look down on you, if you down have them. Or do you want to be the only one in the classroom that doesn't get the tiny giant space hamster joke. ;-)

But seriously, you should have played them, they were, all things considered, the best of their time. Don't be put off by BG 1, it is the worst, imo.

Wait a few weeks to see if they go on sale for the holidays.

It would also give you some time to complete some of the games you have now.

Speaking of Baldur's Gate, maybe some of you may answer this:

Is there anything interesting to do in the carnival? Or is it just couple of unimportant shops? Because it seems like I'm missing something there.

My answer is no. Finish what you have right now. You can always come back. Please don't spend your money with lust. You'll only add another two games to your backlog, which doesn't guarantee that you'll finish either games.
