Hi, I just bought the fall of the samurai expansion on Impulse, and received a copy of Shogun 2 for free. FOTS works fine. Everything starts up, and everything works. I installed the Shogun 2 main game as well so that I could use the blood pack and extra units, but whenever I start the game, only the FOTS campaign shows up. Shogun 2 is faded out. I've reinstalled the game. Impulse and Steam both say it's installed. I have no idea what's wrong. I'd like to play the original game as well, but it won't show up. Any idea what's wrong?

I searched on Google. Didn't find anything there. I haven't checked the impulse forums specifically yet.

This is bull. I can't find any mention of shogun 2 or it's expansion on the forums. It's like they don't have a section for the total war games.

Okay, I restarted steam, and it didn't change. I restarted the computer and it didn't change. I have no idea what's wrong. It's like the game is installed, but it isn't. Steam says it's installed, so does Impulse. But no matter what application or shortcut I use, I can only access the expansion campaign. I installed the expansion first. Could that be the problem?

Ok unistall the entire game and install Shogun 2 first and then the expansion and see what happens.

Well, I am, but it's going to take about 9 hours to redownload everything. And then FOTS is a much bigger file. So it'll be tomorrow night before I even play.

If you haven't downloaded it all again yet then you could simply try the following:
- close Steam
- go to steam/steamapps/common and move both Fall* and Shogun2 directories out of the Steamapps folder to somewhere else on the drive.
- restart Steam and make sure that neither game is installed. Delete them if need be.
- close Steam.
- Move Shogun2 back in there and restart Steam. Let it check the integrity of the cache to make sure that everything's downloaded that should be (right click / properties) and then try running it again.

What the hell? I uninstalled everything, then reinstalled ONLY Shogun 2, and it still says fall of the samurai is the only one playable! I haven't even reinstalled it yet!
