HOLY SHIT. You all need to see The Asylum's attempted cash-in on the Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes film. Not to give too much away, but this "lost" case has Holmes and Watson battling dinosaurs and mechanical dragons.

They make B movies. I hesitate to call their movies "awful" because I've never seen a single one (but I will some time), but there is much notoriety surrounding their productions.

Better yet, watch The Cinema Snob and Obscurus Lupa (my two favorite internet movie reviewers) dig into it!

I suppose you won't "get" them unless you're a fan, but eh. :)
I hate the asylum. I watched Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus. And then the Martian Colony Wars. I don't think the scars will ever heal...
The week "Thor" released in theaters, guess what was on SyFy, created by none other than The Asylum? "The Almighty Thor". They give Thor an uzi.

I've seen Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, and I doubt I've ever laughed so hard.

Is that the one where the shark jumps out of the water and lunges at an airliner?

See, the thing with Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus is that if it largely consisted of scenes like that, it would be a vastly better film. Instead, three-quarters of it (or more) consists of three very boring people talking.
Christ on a bike how on earth did they get Gareth David-Lloyd and Dominic Keating?

The last quarter being very, very bad and reused CGI effects.
God I love The Asylum. So much.
Hahaha, The Asylum do some amazing work. Who can forget the classic Snakes on a Train or I Am Omega?
