I like Eurodance.
I'm a child of the 90s. First love, first kiss, first time getting laid. Video games, school, friends, summer, sports, drugs, party and bullshit. Life was good.
Eurodance was the music of that era. And certainly nothing preserves and reflects the Zeitgeist as good as music does. Listening to Eurodance from the 90s feels like coming home, like beeing a teen again.
Of course, in hindsight Eurodance was simple, shitty music. A hype that died as sudden as it rose. But in my heart it's an island of reminiscence. While not beeing all outspoken about it I still admit how it's a piece of my identity and I'm not ashamed of it. Laugh at me all you want.
You have anything to confess, too?
