I don't know if this is a mod or a completely new release a la Rise of the Triad since I can't seem to find a website related to it.

Considering that the Facebook page promotes Hard Reset (which was a holy pain in the ass on Steam for me) and Steam sales... I'm guessing we shouldn't be too confident on seeing it on GOG?

This isn't a remake, this is just a new game intended to be a reboot of the franchise from the guys who made Hard Reset. Basically, it's a new game in the series following modern game's annoying trend of naming new games the exact same thing as the old one. (SimCity, Syndicate, etc.)

I usually go to google and search for the topic with the tag "site:gog.com/forum/general". Much better than GOG's search function.

Well, at least the first remake. That is, the remake of "The Thing from Another World" that became John Carpenter's "The Thing". As for the recent remake...YMMV, but I found it to be kinda tepid :/

No idea what you are on about, there was ever only one remake.....

If we're talking remakes...Cronenberg's The Fly is legendary.

Let's not forget David Cronenberg's The Fly is also a remake/reboot/rewhatever. And fortunately, since the first one could go suck major hairy pink saggy balls.

I'm absolutely loving ROTT, they had me excited from the beginning and from what I've seen so far they remade it RIGHT.

Shadow Warrior however... I lost interest the second they started talking about having to get rid of Lo Wangs personality because it wasn't "PC". The big draw for me with Shadow Warrior was that he was basically an Asian stereotype version of Duke Nukem. This reboot is Shadow Warrior in name only.
