It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

GameRager: Vista has a games folder and so does windows 7. It's where they put all those free windows games they include with every install, but other games can be installed there too.

doccarnby: I still don't remember one, but it's probably just poor memory. I got my computer refurbished, but that probably would be a problem, right?
You can make that folder if there isn;t one on your system....it won't affect anything else on your system, and will keep all your games in one neat folder. Then just make sure the games folder is set to mark all files and subfolders as same, and uncheck the read only box and hit apply. Any games you put in it from then on will be read/write capable and neatly organized.
And then it happened again and I realized the problem is probably that I'm using a source port. Of course it's something extraordinarily stupid on my end that I forgot to mention! :D

(SWP 4.3.2, if you're curious)

Try the previous build then.

Yeah, that's what I plan to do. And if that fails, well, I could go down to the JSFW Port, and if that fails, God forbid, then I could mess around with DosBox and BMouse and see if I can get it somewhat close to what I'd like. At least there are options (Unlike Powerslave)!

Welp, it seems to be working, but I'll see in the morning. Thank you for your help, 'Rager!

No problemo.....btw does that SWP inclide the high res pack or no?

See you tomorrow at any rate.

It seems to be working! It doesn't include the hi-res pack, but it is highly suggested (I'm not using it, though), I believe you can get it from the website. I think I heard it was the only Source Port that can use it, but I'm not certain how true that is.

It doesn't have even a single source port (unless I missed something? That'd be cool).

Sorry, I interpreted you wrong. :)

Anyways, it has DosBox and I think eDuke can launch it, but I've always stuck with DosBox, so I have not tried it.

doccarnby: c:/sw

I don't install anything in Program Files anymore. I never had a problem with it when I was on Vista, and it doesn't matter so much now that I'm on XP, but still a good habit to break.

GameRager: Lol....installing to the root? Are you mad? I put all my games in c:\games
I did that one time and DOS stopped displaying colors.

Good times.

Which one? Installed to the root or installed to c:\games?
