Why is it a shame? If there is anything the videogame world has enough of, it's third person action adventures.

It had David Hayter in it, now that he won't be on MGS5 (here's to hoping it's just a prank), we need him in as many games as we can get.

It had dead people in it. We see dead people. Repeatedly.
*stares over at the Gamecube on his gaming system rack with Eternal Darkness sitting on a nearby shelf...*

I suppose I always did go for the more obscure and lesser known titles out there. I popped in Eternal Darkness before I played my first Resident Evil :D

And it's a shame Shadow of the Eternals couldn't make it. I didn't pledge on their first run but I gave it a pledge for the second since it did claim to be DRM-free, but I'm not sure I'd pledge again unless I knew it was actually being made (though that might not happen now).

I don't think trying to group "third person action adventures" together is meaningful. The video game world has very few games like Eternal Darkness,

I see dead people.
What I want to see is a Kickstarter for a Resident Evil 1-3 style horror game. Static prerendered environments, the same "raise gun with button" combat and movement system, the "door opening with black background" transitions between rooms, item chests, limited character inventory, scarce ammo and resources, Ink Ribbon and Typewriter save system (or something like it), item puzzles. I really miss real survival horror like early RE.

KneeTheCap: It seems that this game has been laid to rest. Such a shame.

As much as I loved Eternal Darkness, I simply didn't trust Dyack enough to give him any money in advance. I suspect a lot of others felt the same and that this is the reason for the two failed Kickstarters.

So how long before this gets deleted? Makes you question the point of greenlighting anything that has yet to be funded, etc.
