Want to participate in a tournament against other globally ranked StarCraft II players for $85,000? Well, just like a fancy restaurant, they can send you out for a number of stupid reasons:
-Friend requests can't pop up
-None of your friends can send you a message
-You can't communicate with the other guy (unless you want to surrender)
-You can't "act violently"
-You aren't there 15 minutes early
-It takes you longer than 15 to set yourself up
-"You are found unfit to be a gamer"
How could someone be unfit to be a gamer?

Maybe you're unfit to be a gamer if you are actually fit.

Seems perfectly acceptable to me. They have to draw a line somewhere. And on some others it makes perfect sense. With live streaming you can't have people message you where enemies are etc, it makes a massive difference.

Judging by their desire to "televise" the matches and the like, I suspect it also includes being someone who fits their desired stereotype for a gamer (so that they can sell a lifestyle with interviews). Plus, probably not sucking.

I suspect it would also serve as a catch-all for exploits and "exploits".
Not huge on SC2, but we can use Modern Warfare as an example. There is an unholy hatred of the grenade launchers in that game ("noob tube" being the polite term). So if people want to have "competitive" gameplay, they tend to at least restrict that (usually setting up rules so that everyone uses the same gun with the same loadout and essentially play instagib...).
So same thing here. If someone found an unstoppable strategy or exploit, they would reserve the right to tell said person to stop using that. It is bad TV otherwise.

While I'm interested in watching top level Starcraft 2 gameplay, I was thinking about youtube to be honest, not as a channel on my 40".

I for one like to get crushed/rushed at bronze level than watch some other play. Actually I could go and get rushed right now.

Joking aside, whether you are or aren't "fit" to be a gamer is entirely subjective, and sounds pretty ridiculous to me. "He plays Starcraft 2 every night. What's that, he plays basketball too? We can't have someone like that in our league."

... So whats the problem with these rules? It's not like it says "No rushing" "No strategies can be used if they're on Youtube" and "No more than 5 workers"
It's perfectly legitimate televised league rules.

It'd be nice if they could explain the last one, but every other rule makes sense to me.
