Hi, i'm thinking of buying this game can someone tell me if this game's good / live up to the hype or not? Because from some footage that i saw, it doesn't looks like old school FPS to me. Also it's huge departure from the first two games; slower pace, rather small area, checkpoint save, sprint trigger, less horde of monster, iron sight. But that's only based on first two levels.
Yes. The first few levels are definitely not Serious Sam-styled, but once you get into the open areas it's basically classic Serious Sam.

The extra features like ironsights and sprinting actually become more useless the further you progress, at least, that's what I've been experiencing.

There's a bit more of a story as well as more cutscenes, but they're overall fairly good, save for the lip-syncing. It just reminds me of this.
Your best bet if going digital is GamersGate, they'll return it for store credit if you have issues with the game so it won't be a complete loss.

If you go for physical copy - EBGames has a seven day return policy no questions asked....and EB might actually exchange for your cash back.

What would really save the hassle though is if there's a demo available.
Do it. Then make a FULL walkthrough for YouTube so I can share in your happiness.

Hmm.....good question - maybe not. Serious Sam is pretty mainstream so I had just assumed that it would be.

On sale for $10 off the normal price. This REQUIRES Steam.
I absolutely would but the well is dry. Seriously Skyrim, Arkham City, Saints Row 3 and today LA Noire. I checked my wallet but nothing left but a €1 off coupon for Heinze Tomato Sauce. I fucking hate November.

This is a game that demands a Demo. After SS 2, I'm not buying it blind. But I sure loved the tagline "Real man don't need cover".

Maybe later.
And i have a Steam key . :)

note to myself :
Stop talking about the contest .

What do you think of the game since you already own it?

Btw, Serious Sam HD on Steam now 90% off. Damn, maybe i'll settle for this instead.

Both are quite different? Hard to compare.

Impossible to compare them. If I had to choose one or the other (which I in fact did) then it would be Saints Row The Third. It's a truly brilliant game but it's very short for a GTA-a-like. You will probably have most of it complete in about 30 hours.
