I don't really get why a lot of people are so interested in this. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love serious sam, but why would I pay so much for a game that I already own just for some updated graphics, while the original already has decent graphics...

The same reason women get breast implants?
Sure decent breasts are decent... I guess. But dude... huge tits! How can you go wrong?

Lol, well I actually don't like implants ;) sure they look nice in a tight shirt but when the shirt goes off, I wish they were real. And huge real ones, I don't like either. smaller, firmer and a bit up right is what I like ;) But i feel were are going off topic here :p

It all is easily related to the topic at hand. There's definitely reasons to like both types of breasts, but the fact of the matter is that there are large groups of people who like both types and it will always be worth it for some women to get implants.
DAMMIT
And I was so excited... yet another game to skip because of shitty DRM.
Just have to weigh in and say: fake boobs are awful!
Boobs are always on topic, imho.

martinbergersen: I was wondering about the same... cause, *cough*, I'm pretty sure SS had a "Custom resolution" setting that went as far as you monitor. 1600x1200 for us cool kids.

Well, they're not talking about screen resolution, they mean like it has higher res textures (and models and lighting and stuff, I think).
This game is a fantastic indication of how awesome demo versions used to be (its an entire separate god damn level!) and just how pitiful they are now a days (for the most part).
Oh yeah hippie blood = so much win! XD
Anyone knows if there is a version of this without Steam? I don't have Steam and don't plan to install that thing on my pc. I want to play coop, but i don't want SteamWorks.

Sorry, no... to my knowledge the game is so far only available on Steam and Get Games, plus a retail release scheduled for December. All three versions require Steam.

drmlessgames: So, is this just the first serious sam game in HD?

I hope, and it looks like, they added some more upgrades as well, like physics, lighting, more polygons, view distance, etc...
Anyway, SS coop is still kick ass :D

Guess I was cooler. 2048x1536 on my CRT. ;)

DosFreak: 2048x1536 on my CRT. ;)

Ditto, on a 17" iiyama, back in '99 or so.

Well, I'll pass on this one. Still have the original one, still runs perfectly on my 24" LCD monitor and still lots of fun. I just don't understand why i should pay for better graphics, when the original ones are what make its charm...
Serious Sam had charm? I must have missed it...
Yes, it had (and still has). I mean, okay, the enemies' graphics are not "top-notch" anymore, but there are still beautiful scenery... well, i know, at least for an older timer like me who first played games on a TO7/MO5 system, that is... :/
That's what i mean by :" why should i pay again for exactly the same content with just updated graphics?" Sorry, but the old version is still running fine on my comp, i'm still happy with it.
