Nice deal. I have all of them except Septerra Core, which I have shied away from in the past because I'm not sure I like "JRPG"s, but for $2.99 I'll give it a try.

robobrien: Great weekend deal. Is Septerra Core a bit like Final Fantasy?

More like Xenosaga/Phantasy Star I'd say.

trusteft: Septerra Core interests me because from what I understand is a sci fi RPG, and there are very very few of them.

kalirion: Not all that few. :)

Thanks for the link, but I dont' consider games like
Dawn of War 2, Bioshock, Oblivion, Spore, Puzzle Quest, Patricians and Merchants Box, etc as Sci Fi RPG. :p
already have Sacred (loved it, but i don't really like sacred 2) and Spellforce (not my cup of tea) on cd. maybe i'll buy Septerra Core it looks good.

Lou: Spellforce Platinum - Don't have it and need input - How much of an RPG is this title? Does it play more like Heros of MM?

Spellforce is very much an RPG. If not for the RTS bits, it could pass as an ARPG like Sacred. In some places, depending on your character build / difficulty level you can ignore the RTS battles altogether, and just demolish everything yourself.
I'd say it's closer to Warcraft 3 than HoMM.
(I know WC3 isn't much of an rpg at all, it's just the closest other thing I can think of)
There's a demo, which may give you a better idea what it's like.

Didn't like sacred 2, but as I have heard the original sacred is better I have been waiting for a discount.
Therefore I have purchased it. Hopefully it'll be good.

Thanks for the follow-up. I am getting the demo from Gamespot as I type.
This is great, I was waiting for Septerra Core to be on sale.
Just to throw my .02 in here, Stonekeep is good IF you can get past all the flaws it has and the asinine design. Septerra is a good game but a JRPG by nature so expect turn based battles and that quirky anime style.
Probably grabbing Spellforce from this.

I think he means JRPG.
I have always had a soft spot for JRPG's after playing FF6 (FF3 here in the US), even though I am predominantly a PC gamer. FF6 remains one of the most memorable gaming experiences I have EVER had. At 3 bucks, I just can't NOT buy Septerra Core (-1 DOUBLE NEGATIVE!!!), which I had forgotten all about.
I might pick up Sacred. As far as Spellforce goes I picked it up on Steam when it was $3 but only played the demo -- it basically played like an RTS or as someone else mentioned: Warcraft 3. Of course, that's just the demo.
I see a lot of folks wondering about Septerra Core. If you like JRPGs, it's fairly good - not excellent, but you'll get your $3 worth. Much like Shogo or Oni, the presentation is distinctively western in spite of the anime-style trappings, so those who find anime storytelling unpalatable may be more receptive to Septerra Core.
