I saw it as well, at least we know we're not going bonkers :)
I think they're getting the pages ready, and people are mistakenly putting them as live.
Uhm, let me guess... Epic Megagames coming to GOG.com, uhm....
Duke Nukem I & II, maybe? I would love to see 'em much more than a new 3D shooter :-P

Well I never said it was live. I said that Unreal was coming to gog in the near future.

hahaha, what I mean is that they're mistakenly making them accessible to us..
I saw Unreal 2 in the "coming soon" box on the main page yesterday. I clicked over to it, browsed screenshots, the whole tamale. I believe it had a price of $9.99 JUST for U2... but it was late, and I could have been seeing things...
I too would love to play the first two games, as I didn't get in on the series until the original UT.
On that note, ATARI published a game based on the Unreal engine called Nerf: Arena Blast back in... 1997 I think. I'd LOVE to get hold of that one again.
Yeah, some things get published before they are meant to. I've seen games go up for a short period either as 'coming soon' or 'available now'. Since I don't and can't know if they are *really* up, I've taken to waiting until after the official GOG post.
U2 was up last night, coming soon for $9.95 (Same price elsewhere).
Not the best Unreal game out there, but it's *just* passable. U1 and UT99/2k3/4 are where the action is at :)

I personally prefer UT and UT3. Not a big fan of the others. But still, UT3 sometimes makes me laugh, like the flat texture orange boxes. hehehe.

I missed on UT the first time around, and got it when Epic released it on Steam. Rather fun, considering my 2K4 preference.
I've tried and *tried* to like UT3. But it just feels 'wrong' in such a way I can't explain. Runs quite well on my 5 year old PC which really surprised me.
I didn't know about the flat texture orange boxes! That's... amazing that they could get away with it!
Hey, if GOG offered a version of UT:GOTY on the store, I'd buy it in a hot second. That game was so much fun!! I logged so many hours on that game it isn't even funny.

If you have the original UT, you can get all those other things that were in the game of the year edition from a lot of sites, or me. They were just all the bonus packs. I made character models and 100000000000s, well maybe around 200 maps for that game, and another 100 between ut2003/4-UT3. I love the games. I really liked the original UT the best though. UT3 needs some major changes, and Epic knows it. They're working on a "major" expansion pack for it right now. If anyone here is looking for any specific maps, models or mods from any of those games, let me know. I used to have a giant map archive online, but the site not up anymore.
I have UT:GOTY, but I'll tell ya: I'd buy it AGAIN on GOG.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I'd buy it again, the original came without DRM. but then again, maybe I would, I like having digital backups of my games on other peoples servers. probably not the best, but good enough for me.
I actually liked Unreal 2. I mean it's not UT99(classic) or UT2004 (and I don't like UT3 as much as most) but there was some good moments. Like when you first find that team of guys and the battle with the Liandri Angels is pretty cool to me. I also liked some of the later maps and the "machine world" and the map at the end where on the hardest setting you really had to push yourself to get 1 shot 1 kill against tons of Skaarj attacking a generator or something. It definitely had it's moments. Despite it being the weakest at times, I appreciated it a lot. The most special thing abou Unreal 2 was the free multiplayer add-on: XMP. It was really fun and the great thing is a lot of people I play Unreal games with still play XMP on the weekends.
