Okay, I bought Sleep is Death but I'm looking for someone who wants to give it a spin with me. I have two licenses for it (comes with the purchase) so if anyone is willing to give it a serious go (so not just play it for 5 minutes and then drop it), please post here.
About Sleep is Death: it's a game where one gamer is similar to the Dungeon Master: he decides how the game evolves and can create his own scenarios, add his own graphics, etc. The player basically plays a story which can be anything and the DM will alter the game according to the actions of the player. It can be a murder story that has been cleverly prepared or just a random totally bonkers story for a lot of laughs.
So, anyone feels like it? It has VGA-like graphics so you'll feel right at home ;)

I am very interested in the game, but none of my friends are really into the idea. So, I was planning to use sidtube to find a game partner. I would be very interested to hear if you've tried this and what your experience was. Also--keep me in mind for the future (later this summer). The time difference might make it a bit tricky, but some weekend morning (for me) might just work.

It deserves a lot of attention though - there aren't many games like this out there.

Well there were 2 topics on GoG about it already, both pretty much ignored

I partially blame it on the name of the game though. It's a pretty bad name at conveying what it's about. I must have glossed over a dozen articles about it because it looked like yet another simple indie game. If they had called it the "Make Your Own Adventure Simulator" or something more obvious, it would help a lot more.

I would love to have a shot at playing. I bought it a while back and still haven't used it at all yet.
Sidtube is pretty cool, however any match that appears on there is snapped up in 2 seconds. You really need to be in the IRC CHAT at all times (as a notifcation is displayed there when a game is created).
The reason Jason named it that is apparantly because he wanted to put players in a certain mindset when creating the stories. Like how in the music editor, all music composed can only be in a minor key.

I have to admit so far, to me, it's a really good idea. Not sure if it is a really good game yet.

See, I've been actually sorry there is no demo and wrote to Jason Rohrer (creator of the game) an e-mail about it, more specifically if it's all right to distribute the game between players for them to try it out. This is the response I got from him:
"The game is in the public domain, and you can do whatever you want with it. Your only responsibility is to not give your DOWNLOAD LINK out to a bunch of people (my bandwidth is NOT in the public domain, obviously!)"
So yeah, if I can have your word that if you like it, you're gonna buy it, just respond and I'll get the game to you somehow :D

Jason's a nice guy. We corresponded over the email a few times, while I was trying to persuade him to get the game to Impulse (Steam apparently gave him the up yours). It's a shame that he didn't want to, but understandably so, since the opportunity cost of doing so is more trouble than it's worth.

I just got this game today. It looks pretty intersting.
Downloaded a few image packs, and some tools people have made for the game.
Once I finish watching the tutorial, and had some practice, I think I'll be up for a game.
(Can't play my friend, as he's hardly ever active, and at the moment he seems to be making a playlist for an event he's involved with... :/ )

I'll make some basics graphics for a story I got in mind (not that simple considering how unpredictable the whole thing is) but I'd like being a player first to get the hang of things.
