Licensing can be a real problem with games these days. Anyway, I was debating on whether I should have gotten Second Sight or Sands of Time earlier today. I chose SoT. Not sure if I lucked out on picking that one or not, since my internet's unpredictable. I'm not sure I would have been able to download Second Sight in time if GOG removed the download. Anyway, I hope this gets worked out soon.

Wow. That sucks. I bought it here a long time ago.

I really do hope all these games GOG is losing can get re-added for purchase again :(

Man, this sucks. I wanted to pick it up at some point, but times have been tight all the times I remembered. Used to play it on Gametap but never finished it.

The game will be removed from sale but if you buy it before it's removed you will still be able to access all the content of the game i.e. installer(s), bonus content.

Legal reasons, maybe?

In any case, I can personally attest that Second Sight is of the "flawed gem" category, the flaw being the somewhat unintuitive controls.

The mind powers are fun to use, and I loved the plot. I'm sure many people figured out the plot twist ahead of time, but it came to me as a complete "mind blown" surprise.

In all, I am very glad to have played this game.

Sigh, it's sad situation. We lose another game :(

Yes, they do. It is thought to have something to do with the contracts for Steam having gone through a different sub-section of 1C. Steam's one is 1C Company, while the others were 1C Publishing.

Ugh.. you're probably right.

Indeed, the controls and the camera sure is unintuitive and half-broken and not to mention lacking a decent save sytem but I agree the plot was decent. Last time I played it, in spring sometime, I actually managed to get the game working in widescreen without stretch and the game ran flawlessly.
