mondo84: If you hadn't said you programmed the site yourself, I would have thought that it was ShinyLoot's actual key redemption system (ignoring the URL :p).
Same here. Extremely well designed. I'd like to see this used for other giveaways in the future.

I'm on there this very minute! I finished filling everything out a week ago, picked the plan, made my options, and for seven days I've been trying to finalize it all to no avail. ;-(

I'm a bleeding heart liberal but this is seriously pissing me off.
Picked up Dwarf Quest, thanks IamSinistar for your inexplicable decision to pick me - you are wise and possessed with impeccable taste and class, truly a magnificent specimen of humanity. Merry Christmas to all!
Thanks again for all the great feedback, and I'm glad to see someone finally used the Random Gift button. Cheers nmillar!

I'd be glad to put the site to use again for other giveaways, as well as improve and share the code if desired.

tinyE: Just curious, how is this key being transferred? When I redeemed it said it was a Steam key but I obviously didn't redeem it through Steam. I'm totally confused.
ShinyLoot gives extra Steam or Desura keys with some purchases. All the games can be downloaded from their site DRM-free, you just happened to choose a game that came with a bonus Steam key. You can redeem it as well, or regift it. Since I don't use Steam, my SL bonus keys usually get given away. (I do redeem the Desura ones though, it doubles my chance of noticing when a game has been updated.)
Heh, heh. Sock Stuffing. Heh, heh.
I haven't pick any game but very nice giveaway Sinistar!
+1 to you!
what agreat idea and very generous of you :-)
Awesome give-away - thanks :) However, I'm clicking on an available game (refreshed screen and everything) but it comes up that the page is not found :( Any idea on what I'm doing wrong? BTW, the game is Morbid Land. Thanks.
Pretty cool, how did you do that? The web app thingy?

Sorry, the public link in this thread is just to check out how the application looks. You need a key to actually redeem a game. I apologise for any confusion.

Simple PHP applicaition with a MySQL backend. I develop applications for a living and have built a collection of frameworks that makes it pretty easy for me to spin up something like this.

Ah, I see now - thanks for the explanation :)
Thank you very much, Sinistar. Too bad the games I'd really would have been interested in were already taken. Oh well. Picked up Crayon Chronicles as it looked the most interesting one from what was left.

Still waiting for GOG to add the other Tilted Mill games to the catalog. We've got Children of the NIle already, so where's the rest? =P

Whew, now I get a sense of how the GOG team must've felt during the Insomia sale. Invitations are almost done going out. I'm responding to messages at the same time, and also adjusting the invite list as some folks decline out (for various understandable reasons). Again, apologies that I don't have more to hand out, and also for folks who are getting their invites later and have fewer games to choose from.

Cool, is that hard to learn? I would love being able to do that.
