Hiyaaa,

I just got those two phones presented to me by my mobile carrier and I need to choose one of them.
Which one's better :?
A mate of mine has recently gotten a Samsung Galaxy S2 and hasn't shut up about how awesome it is since
Colleague of mine is going to buy the S2 (he tried a lot but he thinks this one is the best).

BTW.: You can also buy both, decide for yourself and send the other one to me :)

I only have the Milestone with that crappy touchscreen bug :(

Is the bug software or hardware? You might be able to flash it with a modified ROM. Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=670

unfortunately a Hardware problem, a lot of people have... and I can't send it in for a repair, as I got the phone for free from my brother who got it for free from his employee. And it is already to old, so no chance for a free repair from the manufacturer :(
Its a matter of oppinion really, i like htc.

Dunno about you carrier but rhey often have a lot of "wriggle room" find a handset you like, tell them you want it and then pester till they agree. They usually only offer the handsets they get the most commision for.

Yeah, my plan is ending on September and they're calling for like 3 months already to make me sign a new one and every time I talk to them I'm all like "yeah cool but I know you can do better if not I'm moving to an another carrier". That made them go from offering me an X10 Mini to S2 and Sensation. All in similar prices lol ;)

BTW,
When is the new Iphone gonna be released ?
having had a look at the specs, I'd definitely go for the galaxy s2, the sensation has 1gb of internal storage with a microsd, the s2 has 16/32gb with a microsd

*ponders if that'd be working with GOG as well*
Hey Galimatias, I can get Dungeon Keeper for $2.99, right? ;p

The IPhones used to be released around July/June (no warranty). I'd give it a bit more time to hit version 5 ;)
most rumors going around place the iphone 5 around a september timeframe.
I'd go with the HTC only because they release OS updates faster than Samsung does which has a crappy history when it comes to this. HTC also unlocked the bootloader so it's more easy to load custom ROMs without breaking/hacking anything and those roms better support HTC devices.
I've got my eye on a Desire Z when I can finally convince myself it's worth the money.
A few weeks ago I bought an HTC Inspire, which I believe is the AT&T counterpart of the Desire. It's really good. However I compared it to the iPhone, not the Samsung, and it compared very well.
Not sure if this helps you, but compared to the iPhone 4, the HTC is 4G, has a bigger screen, a better camera, and a $100 lower price tag. I also went to Youtube to see a side-by-side comparison of those two phones, and at the end the reviewer agreed that the HTC was better. And in the comments below the video, all the HTC fans said stuff like, "The HTC is better because of this and this and this..." The iPhone supporters just said stuff like, "I love my iPhone." That's all they had...lame...so I bought the HTC and I am happy with it.

Isn't the keyboard quite bad on that one? I've heard reports of the keyboard feeling loose when opened.

I was thinking of getting it as well, but then I managed to upgrade my old LG GW620 (that originally came with Android 1.5 with no official upgrade) to Android 2.2 (through OpenEtna), and am now happy enough with it that I don't feel the need for a new phone anytime soon.

I'll second that. No one should be limited to internal storage.

I also had a bad experience with an earlier HTC product, the HTC Touch. It ran on some version of Windows Mobile and it kept freezing up on me all the time after a normal amount of usage. I am not sure how the new HTC products stand up, but I would recommend getting a Samsung rather than HTC, even if it's all made in China.
