MDK 1 or 2 are great. I enjoyed both of them a lot. Remap the keys on 1 and follow a walkthrough for 2.

lukew: Why might MDK go up in price?
They have said it will. It's a statement of this promo, in the initial announcement. Last chance at this price.

A_Future_Pilot: Oh man you've GOT to get Descent 1 and 2!! There's a source port out now for modern systems called DXX-Rebirth that really lets you relive it (except with better graphics and a bunch of fixed bugs + a MUCH improved multiplayer) :)
Ah man, I sooo remember Descent 1 - Crying all through it after my first real girlfriend dumped me. XD

Think I found a way to get some bling today so might actually pick it up with Redneck and Kingpin.

I'm satisfied with my hard copy collection of Fallouts and I want the MDK remakes.

wpegg: Are you just experiencing cashflow issues, or just can't afford these? I could loan you the other $9, but only cause you're a regular, and only if you can actually pay me back.

I wonder if we should start up a GOG Community Bank? If we took a 5% repayment charge and a strict rep / date joined policy, it would cover bad loans, and would let people take advantage of these promos.
Sorry I missed this post, thank you very much for the offer!!

I just realized that I'm getting some money for a computer job I did that I totally forgot about, so I'll actually be able to get these before the promo goes off! :D

Thank you all for your suggestions though!
I'll definitely recommend both Sacrifice and Giants: Citizen Kabuto. They are two of the most underrated gems of all time. I love the first MDK too, although the controls are hard to get used to nowadays. I never could get into MDK2.

Sacrifice is a unique game. It's a 3rd person RTS, in which you control a wizard who battles by summoning creatures and casting spells. The graphical style is innovative, and the voice acting is phenomenal (especially Tim Curry as Stratos).

Giants: Citizen Kabuto is the only game ever to bring me close to physically vomiting from laughing too hard. The humor in the game is over the top, very quirky and quite frankly hilarious. The game itself is a hybrid like Sacrifice, combining game mechanics from different genres. It's basically a shooter, incorporating elements of squad control, base building, racing and other things.

I would DEFINITELY recommend it! If you do, the first thing you need to do is check out the FAQ on the Descent forum here. It's got all the info you need to get the best experience on modern computers! :)

Giants was actually made by a company formed of people who left Shiny Entertainment. They knew about Sacrifice, and they wanted to make something to compete with it.
