Great game until i upgraded to windows 7 then it just went to hell on a stick and also the fact the expansion had drm on it which i think conflicted with windows 7 and when i did get it to work game was so slow next to no fps i gave up.

Yeah. This game really needs to be DRM-free and a combo like Gold Edition so patches are non-issues.

Haha, yeah. It's very addicting when you get the hang on leveling and just want to explore and see how far you can take your character. I had a level 150 Dark Elf on Niobium and a level 70 Vampiress on Gold on the closed servers before they shut down. Fortunately you could export the characters to play on open, single player or local and I still have them. :)

I have a Vampiress at 79, a Demon in the low 40's, and a Seraphim I lost, but nothing close to where you got.

Game is on hold here now, but will go back until I carry it as far as it can go :-)

Really would love seeing Sacred 2 here as well. Tried to played recently the PS3 port and that just didn't work.

Both Sacred games i poured 100s of hours into. Loved thw wood elf in sacred and dryad in sacred 2. Some witty stuff in the game and i love the exploration where you can go where u want to.

I just got Gold Edition from Gate last week for seven bucks.

It's not just Windows 7, it runs horribly on XP as well. Someone here just suggested to me to use those switches at start up so I might give it another try.

But I should elaborate - once the game ran, it ran at proper frame rate (sort of - your characters leg animation were absent so it looked as if you were 'dragging' him everywhere) but load times were horrible.

The other problems involved the controls for the PC version (even with controls mapped to game pad your still forced to have to use the mouse because it just doesn't feel right)

And the fact that there was no hand holding what so ever - I started off with no particular quest or direction and a swarm of over leveled enemies that were impossible to get past.

Also I was using the Anubis-looking automaton and every once in awhile his blaster arm would fire but I'm not sure what caused it too and I didn't even think it was meant to be activated until I had found an upgrade further along in the game.

Why havent we got Sacred 2 Gold here yet when we have Sacred Gold already??. Both Steam and GG (DRM free)have . Just bought my digital copy on Steam (already have Sacred 2 Fallen Angel).....Would have preferred to get it on GOG :/

Isn't there some sort of regional restriction in place? So until that's worked out, it can't appear on region free sites.

The problem region was the US, where it was published by someone other than Deep Silver. However, we just got Sacred 2 Gold, published by Deep Silver, in December on Steam, so GOG should be good to go.

Unless there are other regions with issues that I'm not aware of.
