Gundato: And how was AC2 ruined by the DRM, outside of people who couldn't connect to the server over the weekend while they were ironing out the bugs? Just chalk that up to how so few games are released in playable states these days.

I have dial up so i wouldn't be able to play it and even if i was I'd only be able to play it for about an hour before i disconnect. I think its accurate to call a game you cant play ruined.

Delixe: The 1985 animated movie. Not that Michael Bay travesty.

They should never have let kids watch that one. I love it, but it STILL is pretty messed up (killing off all the autobots we like because they wanted to make new toys :p)
And clearly we are not going to come to any agreement, so we'll just have to agree to disagree. Every attempt I make to be somewhat light-hearted and humorous, you take as an insult and go off on a rant. And since you basically answered my question (there are no real problems other than connectivity issues), I really don't have a reason to hang out at the AC2 forums.
All I am trying to say is: Ignore that this is DRM, and ignore that this is Ubi. All the AC2 problems are really the kinds of things we are (unfortunately) used to. Thus, if we consider that to "ruin the game", then most of the games released in the past few years were "ruined". But I should know better than to argue with people on what is tantamount to religious beliefs :p

michaelleung: Well do they sell the 20th Anniversary DVD anywhere?

I think you can still pick up the DVD Ultimate Edition on Play.com. TBH it's your best option until someone released a proper Bluray.

I was just rather confused as what Kevin Smith had to do with DRM.
Look all I am getting at is that Ubi announced this DRM and everyone said it was wrong. Ubi said it would stop piracy and be a benefit to customers, it didn't and it isn't. Ubi said they had faith it wouldn't be cracked it was. They said these server problems were an impossibility and they were wrong. Going on past evidence I am saying that their DRM will affect RUSE and there is no reason based on past experience it wont.

michaelleung: EDIT: So it does appear to have Ubisoft's shitty DRM. No surprises there.

Yep, polite trollin' is even more annoying than good ol' regular trollin'. Definitely.
But Megan Fox is so.......
.... is DRM.
or ... is a best project of surgery.

I'll avoid on principle of Ubi DRM alone now I see the store page with that paragraph of internet requirements. Another possible sale lost, and I personally don't care. I got Bad Company 2 and beer soooooo...........................
