Anyone know if [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rune_(video_game)]Rune[/url] will run on Windows 7? I read online that some people from the Rune Community had gotten it working on Windows 7, but apperantly the site has been down for a while.

I replayed it not long ago and it just worked fine on win 7.
No tweaking needed at all, at least for me.
Used the gold version, don´t know if that matters.

Make sure you install the 1.07 patch and if it crashes on startup and you have DEP enabled then add the game exe to the DEP exception list.

Game runs fine, but the sound....is weird. Not very playable at this rate.

I applied the 1.07 patch and it didn't fix it either...

Try updating your sound drivers if you haven't already.

I would also recommend using your manufacturer's sound drivers instead of the generic Microsoft ones.

Did you try installing the game in something other than Program Files? Did you try running as admin with the various compatibility modes?

Works great under Win 98 compatability.

I assumed that since it ran, there'ld be no point in fiddling with the compatability modes...bad and incorrect assumption, i know. But thanks :)
