The Roguelikelike Bundlelike promo that will be starting later today lists Sword of the Stars Gold Edition as an included game. I've purchased the base game, Mindgames DLC, and Gold Edition upgrade (all parts of the Gold Edition 'bundle') but the Gold Edition is not marked as owned in the catalog. The site allows me to place the Gold Edition in my cart without marking it as a gift despite the fact that I would gain nothing from buying it.

Is the Roguelikelike Bundlelike promo going to be broken for those in this situation? Will the promo require that all games be selected to receive the maximum discount? If we uncheck the Gold Edition from the list of promo games because we already own the individual parts, will our discount be reduced?

These pseudo-bundles like SotS Gold Edition, which provide only whatever products the buyer lacks, giving no gift codes or additional discount for parts already owned, should be eliminated. They are confusing for customers (see the release thread for SotS Gold Edition) and apparently problematic for GOG itself to implement in an intuitive manner (as mentioned, the catalog displays Gold Edition as unowned despite owning all parts).
There is some discussion about in this thread, starting more/less from this post. A lot of speculation, math, different opinions but nothing is known for sure. We will see soon :)
The promo seems to be working properly for me (because it displays the base game and DLC separately and correctly lists each as owned), tho SotS Gold Edition still displays as unowned in the catalog despite owning all parts of it.

Glad to see it working right despite the oddity. Off to make a purchase now. :)
Scratch what I just said. The deal is *not* working. When I go to checkout, I lose the proper 70% off discount displayed on the promo page, and the prices increase. Wth, GOG? Please fix.

That's strange. I owned FTL and the base version of Sword of the Stars: The Pit and I ended up paying 11.36 for Spelunky, Rogue Legacy and the SotS DLCs.

The checkout page lists a price of $14.98 for Rogue Legacy and Spelunky instead of the sale price of $8.98 as listed on the promo page.

And: Yes, I added the games to my cart via the button on the promo page, not individually.

Now that I have bought the whole bundle, I found out the following bug by attempting to gift it: If you remove any of the SotS DLCs from the bundle, the discount falls to 50%.
Looks like they're working on it...

Now I can get "5 games for: $NaN" :)
One character from the promo picture looks like the girl from Triple Town. :)

Hi,
I have a similar problem. Spelunky is the only game idon't own in this bundle. Sit is written that I can complete the bundle for 4.49$, but on the checkout the price is 7.49$...
The bundle is broken for me aswell - also, the supposed bundle price appears to be changing every now and then (between $2.99 and $7.48).
This is why I feel DLCs, season passes, episodic content and other forms of shady piecemeal distribution don't really belong on GOG.
I have a question too. Glad to see others are finding this bundle a problem too.

I just bought the bundle ; rouge legacy, splunky, sots mind games and gold to complete the bundle. It told me I would be paying $11.47 (I believe) but my confermation email states that I only payed $6.87
I think this bundle is rather broken.

EDIT:: I have checked and all the games are on my account.

Yeah. Today's deals would have been interesting, but, to be honest, I am scared of DLCs. I am skipping the nice-looking Strike Suit Zero because of that, and I intended to buy The Pit Gold because it was announced as a standalone package... but I really don't like buying my games fragmented in jigsaws.

Granted, gold editions are not much safer (I bought the omerta ultimate total complete final woot x-treme package just before being inflicted a new DLC), but buying shattered games is like alreay announcing that you're just paying for the few first parts of it. I don't like multiple entries and multiple installs for one game.

It's really an annoying trend.
Hey guys,

We're aware of the bugs with this promo and our dev team is working to fix it.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
