I kind of think you (and maybe some others) have missed the point somewhat.

Yeah, can't debate the first one, as original D&D is better by a massive margin. :P

never ive played them all except for 5(played 4 once and it sucked so bad) I started with the advanced rules as well so its not nostalgia that is effecting my decision.

Always and forever better than anything wizards has put out. :P
