stoicsentry: Is the PA Report libertarian?
I don't remember asking you this question and answering a question with a question is just being annoying.

monkeydelarge: Are you a libertarian?
You know, I honestly have no freaking clue anymore. :D

At one time I was a Democrat with Republican highlights. Now the system is so screwy I'd have to sit down with a stack of newspapers and the Modern Political Linguist's Dictionary to figure out what the heck I am. :P

Narakir: Because its how a society can work and exist ? Unless you want chaos and destruction all the way every time someone disagrees with your empowered self.
avatar
monkeydelarge: So if some people don't get what they want in PC games, there will be chaos and destruction? Society has been working like this(winners and losers) since the beginning of time. Society is like this right now. I see no chaos and destruction when I look out of my window.
I'm not going to tell you a great lesson, let's say I somewhat realized at some point that nuances exists and I'm happy with that. Plus if the feminists "wins" the worse you'll get is that games where women are half-naked or princess to rescue will become less common, but because there'll still be a market for them they aren't going to disappear.

Sorry about that, I could have sworn this was a public forum. I had no idea that I was breaking into your private messages.

I don't care if feminists win. :) I don't care if video games stop shoving boobs and ass in my face. If I feel the need for that kind of eye candy, I can always look a Playboy magazine. I'm just saying there is a battle so people should pick a side, fight it out etc if they are passionate about sexed up females in video games.

Wow. That Goodbye Deponia review was awful. But is the game really that horrible? I haven't played any of them, but surely there's something lost in translation.

Oh please, not all conservatives people are anti-semit.
It's true, the number one priority I look for in a video game has always been political correctness.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I'll go play some Postal 2.

So because a personal question is asked in public for someone who is not you, you should answer that question? Sure, you have that freedom(freedom of speech) but should you be answering personal questions for other people? When you are at a restaurant, do you answer for other people when the waitress asks them what they want just because you are free to do so? That is borderline trolling unless you really can answer for other people...

Kennethor: I've read the Deponia review and I agree completely with the reviewer, the first game had some hints at this but the third seems to stink of it. A game made by teenage boys with old values.
Everyone is complaining that RPS is only doing this to sell but what about Deadalic? Why do you think they show Goal with as little clothes as possible on the cover?
I own the first Deponia but I am not going to by the other pieces of dung.

monkeydelarge: What is wrong with old values?
I meant old views, on for example women and how they should behave or how the society should be etc. Some things should just die away.

Telika is accusing me of being anti semitic? Why?
RE: That Heroes Of The Storm Interview

For those interested, RPS posted a follow-up to the original article, which seems to address many of the topics brought up in this tread, i.e. "it's just a game", "no political stuff in games, please", "games are art, don't criticize", "don't censor", etc.

On another note, I have never understood the vehemence with which people claim that the people at RPS, or other sites, write articles (such as this one on sexism) specifically to drive ad views. As if the ideas they present are so abhorrent, no intelligent person could possibly think that way -- they must be lying, and so it must be a trick to attract other "radical feminists, "white knights", and other such "they-don't-agree-with-me-so-let's-call-them-by-a-label-such-that-they're-not-actually-people" types.
