I KNOW, I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

:D
I'm likely to buy this, even though I have the original. Looks like they've had the sense not to make it a proper remake, but are just stealing tons from the original.

It's a shame that the original game came out when it did, just to be swept away by Doom.

Magmarock: So Total Biscuit posted a video from PAX and you can watch it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YPQRE57hNQ

I'm actually existed about this, they are bring back the oldschool FPS and near the end of the video he mentions that a DRM version will be available on GOG. I never played the original, but I'm very happy about this news.

I played a bit of Bioshock Infinite and I actually couldn't get into. I can see why other people like it but I'll always prefer the older style of FPS.

Licurg: I think you meant DRM-free.
Well even with the DRM the game had great characters and a unique style, but the actual game play felt a little on the stagnate side.

GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE
Even though I'm not really a fan of FPS like that, this looks...kinda cool.
This could become a kickass game for the oldtime quakers out there, jumppads and rockets galore.

I am going to try it out when it is here, although big FU goes out to Interceptor entertainment for putting the development of Duke Nukem 3D Reloaded on hold.
I never was a fan of the original ROTT, so this really does nothing for me.

I obviously haven't played the new version, but it'll probably play a bit like Painkiller in that it's just entertainment, no meaningful plot or any of that useless crap to get in the way of the fun.

I'm looking forward to it
That's some friggin' awesome news. I'm SO excited about this game. When I watched the trailer for the first time it literally gave me goosebumps.

I don't care about the multiplayer part of the game .

I can say that there is single player though I hope there are bots too.

Only reason I see to be exited is that it brings back the fast tempo rocket launcher tag of yester yore that the new FPS games lack, but as I'm not a fan of multiplayer games I don't see any point to be exited because of it.
Oh yeah :D Really excited =)

The multiplayer reminds me of the fast paced action in Quake 3 Arena :D
I miss Q3A, this should be also on GOG ;-)

Dude, it's not just a multiplayer game. It's also a hardcore oldschool singleplayer FPS, with coins, floating platforms, ridiculous traps and everything. And to me it seems that this might be the first really good one since Painkiller.

Edit:
Here's the (original) reveal trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FV-RD6_GXZ8&feature=youtu.be
If that doesn't blow your mind as it did mine - well, then it certainly isn't a game for you. ^^
