English version :

Are these old cryo games that hard to obtain ?

Cause, system shock or lucas arts games, beside being probably hard to obtain, can be easily found on the net and played on xp.

Old cryo games are adventure games gems, very rare and for the most part impossible to be played without windows 98.

Adding them seems to me to be in perfect accordance with the site's idea.

What is preventing this from happening ?
Gog can't just take a game they find on the net. They have to find whoever has the rights to the games and then negotiate with them, and make sure they're compatible with both Windows XP and Vista, and 7 if they can.
As noted, the rights holders have to be located and negotiated with. If GOG were to just put up these games for sale without having all the proper legal paperwork in order, they'd be opening themselves to huge lawsuits.
Yeah I know, but I'm thinking it musn't be that that hard to get the rights for those. (at least a lot less than monkey island's)

It's not like any underground adventure games (god knows there's a lot), Cryo games are some of the best games to have come out from france.

The site Microïds got a few cryo games but not the best and most important ones.

Well, I don't see how you'd draw that conclusion. Since they're not here, the only logical conclusion (other than maybe they're not trying to get them) is that obtaining the rights is not that easy.

There's a big chance, I think, that they haven't thought about it. I'm just asking them to, maybe, do so, cause I see it as important.

Definitely no harm in asking, although I'd be surprised if they hadn't thought about at least some of those titles. I'd advise posting in GOG's Whishlist.
most of cryo games like Atlantis series are in dot emu and they claim it even runs on windows 7 you might want to take a look

I didn't know this website, that's cool. But sadly, they don't have the very rare and old ones I'm the most interested in. (atlantis 1, egypt 1, ring)

Humm... You may be right but I don't see the lost tales anywhere, I just see atlantis 2, 3 and evolution (4).
"The Atlantis Pack includes the three last installments of the Atlantis series, which are Atlantis II, Atlantis III and Atlantis Evolution."

I second this thread completely! Personnaly, my dream is to play Lost Eden again, Versailles, Dragon Lore 2, and the first Atlantis.

But I'm sure the Gog team know very well those games, and are working to secure rights as we speak.

I still have my CD copy of Lost Eden, but I've never been able to get it to run on a modern system, would anybody have suggestions? I've got Win 7 64, and WIn 7 Starter Edition on my netbook. Thanks in advance!
