spoderman: I asked Aldorlea if they had any plans to add Sylia or any other games to Desura (aside from Millennium 2) and got this response:

"Hmmm Millennium 2 for April.
Laxius Force at some point. But Desura is not a priority for me I'm afraid. When I'm done with Millennium 5, I'll see to add several games, such as 3 Stars of Destiny, Sylia etc."
Good news, thanks. ;)
I just finished Love+.. It's your typical platformer that doesn't do anything innovative that other platformers haven't done. Music is good, gameplay is decent.. Can be finished in 30 minutes or less. I'm assuming the level editor adds a lot of replay value, but the default levels are short.
Just took a look at the Sylia download and it's only for Act 1 (of 2). That makes it half the game. Asked about it on the groupees support chat, hopefully its a miscommunication somewhere that will be fixed.

Edit: Asked the question on the aldorlea forums: http://www.aldorlea.org/officialsite/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=207&t=8270

4th bonus (Anodyne soundtrack) is unlocked.
Next bonus is Tiny Plumbers.
Tiny Plumbers was in Indie Gala Mobile 2. Can't remember if it included the PC version though. Too bad it's not on Desura or Steam..
Tiny Plumbers is very neat. Still in Alpha, though. I like RobotLovesKitty's platformers.

Drat. I want Anodyne so badly I'd spend my last few bucks on it, but Paypal keeps misfunctioning. :(

Try one of the other payment services. I used amazon, and it worked well for me.

Anyway, for those who enjoy 2d paltformers, Bleed is actually a really good one. It was a tad bit on the short side, but well worth it as a part of a bundle. I would recommend using a mouse & keyboard for this one, due to the prices aiming needed (it uses "abuse style" controls). The jumping takes a bit of getting used to, but worked pretty well after some practice, and allowed for some really neat bullet dodging.
Too bad Tiny Plumers looks so bad. I wish they stop make games looking bad on purpose. Most indie developers are trying hard to create games using as few pixels as possible. It's like an 8-bit mania.
I don't want Trine 2 graphics but a little more than 1 pixel representing an arm, 1 pixel a leg.....
Apart from that the game seems good.

Is Amazon a payment service that requires you to put money into it first, like Paypal, or does it work more like a sluice for your bank account? Either way, I can't use those last bucks I got left on Paypal now, which is prettymuch the only gaming budget I have right now.

No, to my knowledge Amazon does not have a system in place that lets you put money into it.

Actually, you don't have to do that for paypal either. I've never done it, and I've used paypal's payment service quite a few times.

I dunno, BIT.TRIP RUNNER did a good job with that art style.

Well, you can link your Paypal to your bank account to allow it to directly pay through it, but I've never felt comfortable doing that, as such services are less secure than my bank account. I've lost my Paypal account once before and only gotten it back with some struggling. If it had been linked to my bank account, I could've lost a LOT of my savings that way, which are all meant for studies.

I just type in my credit card number each time I do a payment through PayPal. I know it by heart anyway, so payment is swift and painless that way.

Isn't that a bit double-upping? I mean, most places that have the option of paying through Paypal also have the option of paying with a credit card. Are there any benefits to paying through Paypal with a credit card? (Just curious, I don't have a credit card myself. I'd rather not end up in debt.)
