The game officially came out in Hong Kong and Japan yesterday (or two days ago?), and I'm wondering if I should buy it. Know any other zombie games that are coming out that I should get instead, and when do you think RE5 will come out for the PC/PS3, because I only see Xbox 360 RE5 ads around the city here.

I know the PS3 demo and stuff, but I don't see the game itself. I only see the 360 versions on the shelf.

You never know, Dead Rising never came to PC and it was developed on the PC first and foremost. Although that could just be due to the whole lawsuit thing. Concerning RE5, as long as long as a game uses MT Framework (LOVELY engine) and no one participates in any shady deals, I'd say it has a fair chance.
Now if only Capcom would get their asses on the Steam train. >_<

Whatever it is, RE 5 seems to me not an "horror" zombie game anymore. It's a damn action game, and there are no zombies hanging around in the series since RE 3....
And I bet it RE 5 will be out on the PC within the next two years, because Capcom is a strong supporter of the PC Gaming Alliance and because on PC there is already any other RE game (RE 1,2,3,4).

Yeah it is more of a shoot-em-up game than a horror one. Nevertheless it is still a good game.

I think I've expressed my views thoroughly already when the demo was released on the PSN. I thought RE4 was pretty mediocre and RE5 seems to have fixed many of the irks, but it's still an unusual game. It's not even close to being a horror game anymore if it wasn't for the zombies, but as an action game it feels very neutered by imposing artificial limitations on the player. But it just looks so pretty and the coop makes it fun to play with another person. So I'll still have fun with it even if it's a flawed game.
