"The official soundtrack included in the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Digital Deluxe version is reported to be sourced from pirated files.

A Reddit user reported that the MP3 files included with a purchase of the Digital Deluxe Edition have the note “encoded by arsa13″

Hilarious, absolute comedy gold, especially coming from Ubisoft

This isn't the first time things like this have happened either, Ubisoft also used pirate patches to patch/fix games and remove their own DRM in the past
Well they own the rights, so why do the work when somebody has already done it for you?
They might have run a tagger on the files though.
That it originated from a hacked torrent created by pirates just gives it that digital deluxe feel and is why it's worth giving Ubisoft more money for that version.

now that I think about it...the word "Deluxe" sounds so fancy...

no wonder they are charging more for something they have gotten from pirates
Haha it was also Ubisoft that got involved in the Rainbow Six Vegas "scandal" where they promoted a crack to fix certain problems with the game - except they "repackaged" the crack I believe.

Which the pirates stole from Ubisoft in the first place. Really, this isn't newsworthy at all.

Perhaps its a cunning plan, they're so blatant about it because they're trying to bait the person who created the torrent into suing them

"How dare you!?! I stole that fair and squa.... FUCK!"
maybe the guy/girl who worked on the files is an undercover "pirate". This is, why UbiSoft Games are leaked to early? :)

This time he just forgot that those files are for the retail version :)
It's amusing but I don't really care much about the principles of it.
This is further proof of the Jack Sparrow Principle: Pirates Make Everything Better.

(Disclaimer: I don't pirate, but I would totally wear a tricorn hat and hold people up from my boat).
LOL damn you! Just preordered it on steam now. Was trying to ignore it's existence as I've just got Shogun 2.
Pirates are good for the industry :-P

That should totally count for the 'Become a Hero'-Gog-quest, or rather a picture of it ;)
The more important thing is:

MP3???????????????????????? What the fuck?

They should have called it Booty Edition.

More to the point: they took FLAC files and made MP3s out of them for their 'deluxe' version. Classy.
