So, I don't bother with this rep system, but I received several negative reps and I don't know why.
My rep is going deep and deep /for example today I only posted in one topic, suggesting to play Braid and Fez to a user, and my rep went down).

This rep system itself is ok, but users are stupid, they can't manage it properly.

No no no no, If you are worried about your rep taking a dive, the last thing you want to do is make a thread about it.

Yes I know it, in fact I suppose now my rep will decrease again, but no mattwe what, there are too many users can't manage it the right way.

To fix all of the problems the GOG team needs to:

- Remove the "downrep" button
- Add a "hide post" button
- Add a "report spam" button

Yesterday I took a nose dive for using the term 'transsexual'. Today I made a disgusting and overtly offensive post about someone's sister and nothing. Not only is it ugly it's CONFUSING!!!!! :P I guess it's like the strike zone in MLB; it's supposed to have a standard but in truth everyone has their own interpretation.

This was posted again and again. And yet GOG staff doesn't give a damn and doesn't seem to think redesigning the rep system is an issue worth taking time to resolve.

I can't believe we are still on this topic. I am away for about 6 months and people are still talking about the problems with the rep system. I guess some things will just never change.

If my rep ever reaches 1337, I'm going to ask folks to help keep it that way.

click on the downrep button and the the post will be hide and you can report it as spam....

I don't even like most of his post but hitting him for that was beyond stupid.

I think the point about that post was to get rid of the downrep button.... as is the subject of this thread...
