Hello,

I have a question! Each of us have a rep number. My question is; what does this mean? Is it replies? Is it reputation?

Forgive me for being stupid :)
Rep does nothing but make people bicker. Ignore it, is my advice.
I'll ignore it after I know what it is lol
Reputation?? I thought it was for REPlies...

It represents satan's influence on you. The more - the bigger the influence.

I think its reputation. As I understand it you get a limited amount for posting in the forum. People can upvote and downvote posts (but I don't think an upvote gives you one more rep).

Basically it just causes fights as some people get upset when their reps goes down.
Big Brother is watching us LOL

To summarise, you asked this question at the wrong time because there has been a lot of arguing recently. Many have lost their critical faculties as a result :\

You systematically get rep points for posting consistently to the forums. Other users can give you rep for answering questions and otherwise saying things they like or agree with.
Thanks, I noticed a big jump in my rep after solving someone's problem!!

I think I understand how it works :)
It shows how big your e-peen is.

Yes. The only problem is that it's inversely proportional.
It's rep, and stated above, ignore it.
It's basically a combined measure of how long you've been active on the forums, how helpful you've been, and what other forum members think of your posts. You get one rep point per day that you post on the forums, 5 for every question thread that you're marked as providing an answer to, and you can gain or lose rep if your posts are low-rated or high-rated by other forum members. Every 500 rep you get a free game.... just kidding. The number itself is ultimately just a number with no effect on anything.

To clarify: you get one rep point each day you post, and you get five for getting your post marked as Answer in a Question thread.
You can also get negative or positive rep for your posts, if multiple people hit the little + or - sign. Positive rep is limited to +1/post, I guess negative works like this as well (but I don't know this).
Welcome to GOG!
EDIT: Too slow...
