etna87: Could a driver actually drive so carefully that the velocity of his car becomes an integrable function?

retsuseiba: I think I spent more time reading this sentence than the rest of the thread.

I was never very good at calculus.
I actually thought about making it more detailed, but it seemed too long already ;-)
It is just a reformulation of the very important question asked by Adzeth: Could a driver slow down in such a way that he never reaches his destination - i.e. he drives for an infinite amount of time, but decelerates in such a way that he only travels a fixed distance.
Surely, it is worth thinking about a scenario which might lead to someone accidentally starving to death in his car.

tinyE: Roman is a much better example because this thread is the FIRST ever time in all my time here since December that I EVER seen him mention rep much less complain about it. If you want to chalk up residual action in my case fine, but it doesn't add up here.

Well no but to be honest when I log in I just skim the post looking for my name and when I don't see it I go back to playing Settlers and watching baseball.

morciu: And what about those posts that say nothing offensive at all that are still downrepped?
Here's the thing: to the left of the + and - buttons it says "rate this post". It doesn't say "click the button here to rate something else this person posted elsewhere", or "rate your general feelings about this person".

So if people would just follow the damn directions - what should otherwise be a simple task for those who can figure out the nuances of complex video games - the "problem" would go bye-bye.

But they don't, and there we have it.
I've just upvoted 29 people in this thread, including one person I don't even like that much. A new record.

(And I'll stand by my belief that this forum really needs proper ignore or hide post/thread functions)

Roman5: And what a surprise, who better to target than "Mean Old Roman"
"Mean Old Roman?"
I never got the impression that's how the community perceived you. I think they just considered you generally dim, attention seeking and not very useful.
So cheer up buddy!

Not Joan Jett, that's for sure.

XD Yeah the song. Sorry. I thought you were insinuating something else. Man I need to stop logging on when I'm half asleep.

You need a hobby.
And the funny thing is, those that don't like Roman for whatever reason, could just choose to ignore him. But they don't. That's not human nature. We've got to "wave our bigger sticks" at others we don't like. So now we're up to five pages on this thread, probably six soon. Wow.
