i agree, this grossly negligent abuse HAS to stop. i watch world news daily, but i just keep thinking about the injustice of the gog.com forum rep count.

I see - "I'm sexy and I know it" is a very valid comment on a new game....

As stated above, you stop these kind of comments, and you will not be dowreped anymore. Also, please stop copy pasting the same song lyrics over and over and over and over.

You don't get to act like a juvenile, puerile buffoon with your "First Post!" posts, or your "I am a GOD!" threads, and then turn around and whine, moan and complain when others take you to task about it using the rep system.

If you really are sick and tired of people giving you -rep, then don't do the things which have consistently earned that for you. You've been here long enough to know what they are.

Personally, I find I'm a little more tolerant of your bullshit than some other members here, but I too know when the line has been crossed. Unlike others, I really don't care about the more inane posts like "first", but it's when you start getting very obnoxious that the problems begin.

Really, I don't see how someone who repeatedly behaves in a fashion that justifies the very existence of the rep system should have any right to complain about its 'abuse'.

Some advice:

Just ignore it. Chances are that further bitching just will make the abusers try harder to make your life miserable, just for the fun of it. Ignore it and they will eventually stop the harassment.

Allow me to ease your 'pain' a bit, +1 ;^)

IIRC, +rep also comes from actually posting on a frequent basis (using a time scale I don't remember, but it's structured to discourage spamming for rep), so a lot of his rep (and most of ours too) simply comes from being active on the forums.
